A study checklist should show what you understand and what remains uncertain. This article accompanies video seven with a method for reviewing the excavator category systematically.
What to review
Use the latest A59 topic headings and record the reference that supports each answer. Separate a category topic from a procedure that depends on a particular excavator or attachment.
When studying, connect the explanation to the equipment and task you know from training. If the example differs from your own machine or site, write down what needs confirming rather than filling the gap from memory. Keep those questions for your next discussion with a competent trainer.
Check your understanding
- What must you know about the ground and working area?
- Which checks apply to the fitted attachment and its connections?
- What would make you stop work and ask for the plan to be reviewed?
A focused revision exercise
Mark each checklist item as understood, needs revision or needs clarification.
