Part four of the articulated-dump-truck series can be used for a structured safety review. Give your notes headings so that unclear points are easy to find afterwards.
What to review
Use preparation, routes, loading, tipping and stability as review headings. The checklist accompanies the video; it does not assume that older footage covers every current requirement.
When studying, connect the explanation to the equipment and task you know from training. If the example differs from your own machine or site, write down what needs confirming rather than filling the gap from memory. Keep those questions for your next discussion with a competent trainer.
Check your understanding
- What route conditions might change during a working day?
- How will the loading and tipping areas be checked?
- Which manufacturer’s limits apply to this truck and task?
A focused revision exercise
Choose two headings and summarise what you still need to check in the current support documents.
