CPCS A33 Agricultural Tractor: Preparing a Category Revision Checklist

CPCS A33 Agricultural Tractor: Preparing a Category Revision Checklist

Use this tractor introduction to build a revision checklist that separates current renewal requirements from machinery knowledge. Older references to renewal-test formats should be checked against NOCN’s current guidance.

What to review

Begin with the category shown on your card and the support documents relevant to it. Then identify the tractor and implements you use in practice. This helps you distinguish a category-wide topic from a procedure that belongs to a particular model.

Make time for towing, powered implements and worksite planning in addition to the familiar cab controls. Use questions you cannot confidently explain as prompts for further reading or a discussion with a competent trainer.

Check your understanding

  • Which topics concern the tractor, and which concern the implement?
  • What requirements need checking before renewal?
  • Where will you resolve model-specific uncertainties?

A focused revision exercise

Build a weekly revision list with one machinery topic and one site-planning topic for each session. Tick a topic off only when you can explain it clearly.
