CPCS A33 Agricultural Tractor Revision: Tractors, Implements and Towing

CPCS A33 Agricultural Tractor Revision: Tractors, Implements and Towing

A tractor study session should cover the equipment attached to it as well as the tractor itself. This A33 video provides older revision material to compare with current category guidance.

What to review

Organise your notes under tractor checks, implement checks and the intended job. Where coupling, towing or powered implements are involved, identify the relevant handbook and training instructions instead of relying on a general rule from memory.

Review the worksite arrangements for routes, visibility and nearby people. Describe what would make you stop and seek advice. Good revision includes recognising the limit of what you can safely decide for yourself.

Check your understanding

  • What checks apply to the tractor and the attached implement?
  • Where are the towing and coupling requirements recorded?
  • What arrangements are needed before anyone approaches moving equipment?

A focused revision exercise

Choose one implement you have been trained to use and list the documents needed to answer questions about it. Keep the exercise specific to that equipment.
